RealHomly ("we", "us", "our") is a Nigerian rental marketplace that connects tenants with landlords through verified and Scout Visited property listings. Our platform facilitates discovery, messaging, viewing requests, and rental applications. We are incorporated and operate primarily in Nigeria.

By creating an account, browsing listings, or using any feature on RealHomly, you agree to these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must stop using the platform immediately. We may update these terms at any time — continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. By registering, you confirm that you are a legal adult and that the information you provide is accurate and complete. We reserve the right to suspend accounts where we have reason to believe eligibility conditions are not met.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@realhomly.com if you suspect unauthorised access. We are not liable for losses arising from unauthorised account use.

Landlords who list properties on RealHomly confirm that: (a) they own the property or have authority to list it; (b) all information provided — price, location, size, amenities — is accurate and current; (c) they will not request payments outside the platform's payment flow; (d) they consent to a scout physical inspection as part of the verification process. Fraudulent or misleading listings will be removed and accounts suspended.

Listing verification is carried out by RealHomly's scout network. Scouts conduct in-person property inspections and submit reports used to determine platform verification status. A "Verified" badge indicates that a scout has physically inspected the property. Verification does not constitute a guarantee of habitability, title accuracy, or fitness for any particular purpose.

Payment processing is handled by Paystack, a licensed payment processor. RealHomly charges landlords a one-time basic listing fee (currently ₦3,000). A Featured listing costs ₦5,000 total. If a listing is rejected by moderation, the listing fee is refunded. RealHomly does not hold tenant rent payments — all rent transactions are conducted directly between tenants and landlords. We are not responsible for disputes arising from private payment arrangements.

Tenants agree to use the platform in good faith. Viewing requests and rental applications must reflect genuine intent to rent. Tenants must not harass landlords, submit fraudulent applications, or use contact details obtained through the platform for any purpose other than genuine rental enquiries.

To access certain features, users may be required to submit identity documents. Submitted documents are processed for verification purposes only and stored securely. We will not share identity documents with third parties except where required by Nigerian law or our moderation process.

The following are prohibited on RealHomly: impersonation; posting false or misleading listings; scraping or automated data extraction; uploading malicious content; interfering with platform security; using the platform to facilitate unlawful subletting or tenancy fraud; soliciting payments outside the platform to avoid fees. Violation may result in immediate account suspension and legal action where applicable.

All platform content — including brand assets, UI, scout data, and copy — is owned by or licensed to RealHomly. Property listing content (photos, descriptions) is uploaded by landlords who retain ownership and grant RealHomly a non-exclusive licence to display it on the platform. You may not reproduce or redistribute any platform content without written permission.

RealHomly is a discovery and facilitation platform. We are not a party to any tenancy agreement and are not responsible for: the quality, safety, or legality of listed properties; landlord or tenant conduct; failed or disputed transactions; or any loss arising from reliance on listing information. To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, our liability to any user is limited to the fees paid by that user in the preceding 3 months.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute shall first be submitted to mediation. If unresolved, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lagos State, Nigeria.
